Abstract
The use of technology in the classroom makes learning more pleasant and
simpler. The utilization of technology in the classroom is becoming more prevalent in
these modern times, especially in this COVID-19 era. In this chapter, we discuss the
emerging trends in education including the incorporation of new technologies. Among
the technologies covered in no particular order of importance are virtual reality,
augmented reality, mobile learning devices, and the internet of things. We evaluate the
potential impact of emerging technologies on university teaching and learning. The
technology education tools, including headsets, handsets, computers/laptops, electronic
readers and online books, were identified in the literature.<br>
