Abstract

Abstract A simple equation has been developed for predicting changes in tire rolling resistance of similarly constructed tires when tire aspect ratio is varied. The equation is expressed in terms of tire parameters listed on the tire sidewall. The usefulness of the equation has been demonstrated by comparing predicted rolling resistance changes with actual changes using available data from a number of radial passenger tires.
