Abstract
A variety of living polymerization systems are now available for the controlled synthesis of block copolymers. Although living anionic polymerization remains as the method of choice for the most precise structural control, living polymerizations proceeding via other mechanistic types provide extremely useful extensions of this methodology to a wider variety of monomers.
