Abstract

Abstract High field NMR (1H and 13C) spectral characteristics in D2O of 8-hydroxypenillic acid and 6-aminopenicillanic acid (6-APA)-sodium bicarbonate mixtures are reported. The ready conversion of 6-APA to 8-hydroxypenillic acid is demonstrated.
