Abstract
A comprehensive calculation of the parameters involved in energy interactions (dipole polarizabilities, magnetic susceptibility, nuclear magnetic shielding, quadrupole coupling constant, magnetic hyperfine structure constant, Fermi contact interaction constant, octopole coupling constant, orbit–orbit interaction, spin–orbit coupling constant, spin–spin coupling constant, and spin–spin contact interaction) in many-electron atoms has been carried out. The corresponding results, together with the values available in the literature, have been compiled in a technical report for the ground states and some excited states of the negative ions, neutral atoms, and the first four positive ions from He to Kr. An example of the prediction of atomic energy levels, using these values, is presented.
