Abstract
Lasiostictis fimbriata is described. The ascal tips from ascomata rehydrated in 2% KOH solution or distilled water and mounted in Melzer's reagent showed no amyloid reaction, and the ascospores bear gelatinous sheaths. On the basis of these new observations, L. fimbriata should be referred to the Rhytismataceae.
