Abstract
The arthrobacters are generally regarded as showing little or no growth at 37 °C. It was found that Arthrobacter globiformis grew at 25, 30, and 37 °C on nutrient agar and trypticase soy agar; A. citreus grew on nutrient agar at 25 but not at 30 and 37 °C. On trypticase soy agar A. citreus grew well at all three temperatures. On nutrient agar, A. citreus grew at temperatures of 30 and 37 °C in the presence of any one of a number of different associated microorganisms, which included bacteria, yeasts, molds, and actinomycetes.
