Abstract
The hybrid nonlinear Fabry–Pcrot interferometer is described in the multistable mode of operation. The multistable characteristics are obtained by using a multimode laser and properly adjusting the interferometer length. Self-oscillations in such a system are reported. A possible application in optical multivalued logical elements is outlined.
