Abstract
The reserve glucans of C. pasteurianum, previously assumed to be a single polysaccharide, have been fractionated into two polysaccharides which resemble amylopectin and dextran. Both polysaccharides are produced when cells are grown with sucrose, D-glucose, or D-fructose as carbon sources.
