Abstract
It is shown that the vegetatively propagated strain of larval Echinococcus multilocularis grows in B6AF1 hybrids twice as fast as in the A/J mice. The growth rate in C57L/J mice is almost four times higher than in A/J mice. Interrelations between the growth rate of cysts, their calcium contents, and the numbers of rostellar hooks are discussed.
