1. The aim of the study is to examine the coping methods of secondary school students who are exposed to peer bullying. The pattern of the research is phenomenology. For the research, necessary permissions were obtained from the Ethics Committee of Kayseri University and from the parents of the students participating in the study by using the parent consent form. The study group consists of 11 secondary school students who have been exposed to peer bullying. Criterion sampling, one of the purposive sampling methods, was used to determine the participants. The Peer Bullying scale and the semi-structured ınterview form were used to collect data. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and content analysis together. The data obtained show that students are exposed to peer bullying with their behaviors such as mocking, mocking, ostracizing, taking their belongings by force, and resentment. It was concluded that the aggrieved students felt better when they relieved their grievances by doing peer support, family support, teacher support, establishing alternative friendships, and doing various sports and artistic activities. The necessity of providing peer mediation trainings to students and trainings for families to spend quality time with their children emerges.;Kayseri Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Dergisi;2023-06-30
