Abstract
In this work, a mechanical optimization to generate uniforms spaced phase-shifts for extracting the phase difference between a reference and a probe object in a double aperture common path interferometer, is proposed. Analytical calculations and simulations of the mechanical gear system are shown. The transmission system was designed to increase the precision and control of the transverse translation of a diffraction grating in order to obtain homogenous phase-shifting.
