Abstract
The article deals with the main aspects of the digitalization of education in the XXI century, its advantages, and challenges. It is determined that the leading areas are project work, product design, work planning, and access to information resources. The introduction of digital technologies contributes to the creation of an effective educational environment, increased student motivation, development of digital competencies and equal access to education. Digitalization makes it possible to constantly update and improve educational content. However, digitalization is accompanied by risks, including the degradation of students' speech, reduced vocabulary, shortcomings in the educational process, and psychological and physical problems from prolonged use of technology. Prolonged time in front of a computer screen can lead to poor eyesight, physical inactivity, and increased fatigue. To increase efficiency, it is necessary to monitor threats, develop strategies to overcome them, prepare teachers to work in the digital environment, and find a balance between digital and traditional teaching methods. It is important to ensure that teachers are well-trained to use digital technologies effectively. The digitalization of education is a prerequisite for the modern educational process, which requires an integrated approach to minimize risks and ensure the comprehensive development of students.
