The Availability of Science Processes in Science Textbooks in the Stage of Basic Education in Palestine

Abstract

This research aimed at identifying the basic and integrated science processes, which ought to be included in the textbooks of basic sciences, then finding out the availability of these processes in science textbooks of the basic education stage in Palestine. The researcher used the content analysis method. The researcher designed a special tool for content analysis where its validity and reliability were tested of repeating the analysis through time. Frequencies and percentages used for statistical treatment. Among the most important results of this research that the ten science textbooks was respectively as follows: (observing, communicating, data interpreting, experimenting, measuring, reasoning, using numbers, classifying, predicting, and hypothesizing). (629, 501, 225, 195, 148, 99, 73, 68, 46, 43, 8). (31%, 25%, 11%, 9.6%, 7%, 5%, 4%, 3%, 2%, 2%, 0.4%). هدف البحث الحالي إلى تحديد عمليات العلم الأساسية والتكاملية التي ينبغي تضمينها في كتب العلوم الأساسية، ومن ثم الكشف عن مدى توافر تلك العمليات في كتب العلوم لمرحلة التعليم الأساسي بفلسطين، وقد اتبع الباحث أسلوب تحليل المحتوى أحد أساليب المنهج الوصفي، وصمم أداة تحليل محتوى خاصة لذلك، والتي تم التأكد من صدقها وثباتها بالأساليب المناسبة. إضافة إلى استخدام التكرارات والنسب المئوية للمعالجة الإحصائية. من أهم النتائج التي توصل إليها البحث الحالي: أن عمليات العلم وردت في كتب العلوم العشرة مجتمعة على النحو الآتي: الملاحظة، الاتصال، تفسير البيانات، التجريب، القياس، الاستدلال، استخدام الأرقام، التصنيف، ضبط المتغيرات، التنبؤ، فرض الفروض (629، 501، 225، 195، 148، 99، 73، 68، 46، 43، 8) مرة، وبنسب مئوية (31%، 25%، 11%، 9.6%، 7%، 5%، 4%، 3%، 2%، 2%، 0.4%) على الترتيب.
