Abstract
Short stature didn't improve Napoleon's personality, but being small can add months to a rodent's life. Contradicting conventional wisdom about the cause of this extended longevity, a new study suggests that paring growth-spurring hormones doesn't prolong life. The results reinforce the view that the molecules exert different effects on health at different ages.
