1. Paul J. Crutzen is Professor of Atmospheric Chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany. He was a co-recipient of the 1995 Nobel Prize in chemistry for his contributions to the understanding of stratospheric ozone production and destruction.
2. Veerabhadran Ramanathan is Professor of Atmospheric Sciences at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, University of California, San Diego, where he directs the Center for Atmospheric Sciences. His research, for which he has received many honors, includes the issues of climate change and human impact on the environment.
