Abstract
Abstract
Online training portal such as e-learning enables corporates and industries to train their
employees so that they can upgrade their skills and knowledge to compete in the global
market. Mature-aged workers, aged between 45 and above, are deemed as valuable assets to
the organizations as they have years of experience and have great potential to guide younger
employees. Human Capital Report August 2019 by HRDF showed that mature-aged workers
with the age of 45 and above have a training participation rate below 20%. As such, these workers have challenges in using the computer and assessing online training portals. Therefore, this study seeks to examine the relationship between perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and self-efficacy towards their behavioural intention in using online training portals for learning purposes. A quantitative research survey was adapted to analyze the data gathered from 49 workers who have responded, out of 157 manufacturing technicians, to answer the questionnaire that consists of 28 questions. The research findings show all variables, such as perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and self-efficacy have a relationship with mature-aged workers' behavioral intention to use online training portals for their learning.
