Abstract
Abstract
Syzygium grijsii roots and leaves can be used as medicine, and the fruits are rich in many nutrients, which have many research and application prospects. By analyzing the chloroplast genome of S. grijsii by analyzing the chloroplast genome of S. grijsii, it can help to evaluate its phylogenetic relationships and provide a theoretical basis for the development and application of S. grijsii. In this study, we first sequenced the complete chloroplast genome of S. grijsii to investigate its phylogenetic position in the Myrtaceae. The chloroplast genome of S. grijsii is 158,591 bp in size, including a large single-copy region of 88,046 bp, a small single-copy region of 18, 409 bp, and a reverse repeat region; a total of 129 genes were detected, 84 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes and eight rRNA genes, with a total GC content of 37.0%. In S. grijsii, a total of 84 SSR loci were detected, and it has a strong A/T bias. Phylogenetic analysis showed that S. grijsii was closest related to S. jambos, S. forrestii and S. cumini. The analysis of the chloroplast genome and phylogeny analysis of S. grijsii provides a theoretical basis for the identification of S. grijsii species resources identification and exploitation.
