Abstract

Abstract

This study assessed the teaching experience of parents of children with special educational needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. The online questionnaire was completed by 57 parents and the data was analyzed using SPSS software. Descriptive and inferential statistical measures were used to assess the relationship between variables. The results revealed a significant relationship between the quality of virtual teaching and the availability of supports and resources for online learning. However, available resources did not contribute to parental satisfaction. Parental satisfaction was not related to the quality of education or the age of the child. Additionally, there was no significant difference in educational performance between children who received virtual training and those who attended school in person. Overall, the virtual training was found to be satisfactory, but improvements to online educational resources could enhance the quality of education.
