Abstract
The goal of the chapter is to present basic principles for organization of simulation and realization of simulation experiment to investigate defined problem. The first part discusses the basic forms of simulation research, and a brief summary of simulation languages and environments is presented. A selection of the large number of specialized languages with comments on their applicability is presented. The second part is devoted to the planning of simulation experiments and the organization of implementation. This is related to determining the main factors and defining their levels, determining the optimal time for simulation, as well as performing pre-processing of the data obtained from the experiments. The last part presents the organization of selected simulation experiments, indicating that two directions can be defined - for basic simulation and for complementary simulation (combination with other research approaches to obtain more accurate and informative results). The idea of the second group is to supplement the results received based on another research approach.
