Abstract
The chapter addresses the importance of project quality (PQ) in the mediation of the project governance´s endeavors and its outcomes (of project performance). It provides a multilateral vision of what quality is from different stakeholder´s point of view. It intertwines the seminal contribution of Deming´s theories (of profound knowledge and optimization) which influenced decisively the evolution of the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) with the total quality management (TQM). The chapter addresses moreover the types of quality processes and enters the domain of quality assurance as a system of relevance to ensure the fulfillment of quality standards. Within the PMBOK revisits a few theorizations (as the MODest framework) and enters the realm of the total quality management (TQM).
