Abstract

The chapter highlights the significance of integrating IoT, AI, and advanced materials in sustainable manufacturing to promote eco-friendly practices and reduce environmental degradation. It highlights the synergy between these technologies, allowing real-time monitoring of resource utilization, energy consumption, and production efficiency. AI provides predictive analytics, promoting proactive maintenance and waste reduction. Advanced manufacturing techniques like additive manufacturing and composite materials reduce carbon footprints and resource depletion. Eco-friendly practices like recycling and renewable energy adoption promote sustainability throughout the supply chain, fostering a circular economy. However, technological barriers and regulatory constraints must be overcome.
