Abstract
Climate change presents critical challenges for ecosystems, finance, and societies globally. Rising temperatures and extreme weather events drive the need for adaptation and mitigation strategies. AI, particularly ML and LLM, has gained prominence, aiding in climate risk assessment, flood defense identification, infrastructure resilience, and resource allocation optimization in vulnerable areas. This article examines how AI supports large organizations and grassroots efforts simultaneously to address environmental challenges. It delves into AI's transformative role in climate science through big data analysis, exploring various tools and approaches developed for this purpose.
