Abstract
Student well-being is a top priority in higher education policy. However, recent research has shown that at least three out of five adolescents have psychiatric disorders by the age of 21. Nursing students are experiencing high levels of stress as they try to meet their academic demands. Most rapid reviews on mental well-being during COVID-19 have focused on the healthcare workforce, with little attention given to specific groups like nursing students. This review aims to consolidate knowledge and provide actionable evidence on the mental well-being of nursing students during the COVID-19 pandemic. A scoping review was conducted on English articles from various databases, following the PRISMA checklist. The synthesis includes different well-being strategies implemented by nursing students between 2019 and March 2024. This review provides swift evidence and guidance from Cochrane and the World Health Organization on conducting rapid reviews to address the urgent need for policy planning related to nursing student well-being.
