Abstract
In this chapter, the primary advantages, and problems of information technology (IT) enabled learning in the education sector are discussed. In addition, the effects of shifting from traditional classrooms to online learning environments are briefly discussed. This chapter is based on the perspective that the extended reality (XR) can be realized through the success of IT enable learning. The aim is to delve into the significance of IT-enabled learning within today's educational landscape, examining the factors contributing to its rapid adoption. Drawing from existing research, the study discusses the implementation of IT-enabled learning technologies in educational environments. The key findings of this study include the benefits and drawbacks of moving from a traditional classroom setting to an online learning environment, including the frequency with which they arise, the different kinds of barriers that may be encountered, the possible advantages, the potential downsides, and security concerns.
