Abstract

The study aims to analyse the discovery, access strategies, and library services at the Central Library of Yenepoya (deemed to be University) (hereafter referred to as YCL) with a specific focus on the role of AI. By identifying challenges and proposing solutions, the study employs a qualitative case study method to investigate the discovery, access, and library services at YCL. Data gathering techniques include interviews, observation, content analysis of library records, and a thorough review of relevant literature. The researcher personally observes the library operations and supplements primary data with an analysis of secondary materials. Microsoft Excel is utilized for data management and analysis. The study indicates that the Yenepoya Central Library effectively facilitates the discovery and access of e-resources, along with providing various additional services such as research support, RFID services, QR codes for materials, reference assistance, technical support, and email-based services. However, there's a need for integrating AI tools into the library services.
