Abstract

This chapter aims to understand the employability enhancement initiatives undertaken by developing nations as an agenda/policy to leverage the benefits of a growing young population and to have a competitive advantage in the socio-economic spheres. This chapter conceptualizes the socioeconomic and political ecosystem as a source of enablers that can augment the quality of signals created by employment seekers and prospective employers. The proposition is based on the background of reports on the enhanced employability of graduates in India.
