Abstract

AI plays a significant role in education in general and very definitely in computer science education. AI offers various benefits, but there are also well-grounded concerns and potential dangers present when AI is used in education. It is therefore essential that a proper investigation and analysis of the need for improved regulation for the use of AI in computer science education is conducted. An ethic of care coupled with ethical guidelines for the use of AI in education should be the minimum requirement, but an approach that enhances human rights in the use of AI in education, might be the safest and most effective approach to ensure that the use of AI does not infringe about the human rights of all stakeholders.
