Abstract
The purpose of the study in this chapter is to answer the primary research question: “What can be learned from a study of a comprehensive open and distance e-learning institution (CODeL) in South Africa about the use of artificial intelligence in education (AIEd) applications to enhance teaching and learning in higher education?” Against the background of advancing student employability through higher education, the chapter discusses international business staffing challenges, as well as the past, present, and future of higher education.
