Abstract
Environmental issues such as climate change, deforestation, and pollution necessitate new solutions beyond conventional governance. Artificial Intelligence improves environmental monitoring by analysing real-time data, predictive modelling, and autonomous decision-making, but it also complicates data privacy, algorithm accountability, ethics, and patchwork regulations. The present study compares global AI regulations and case studies to determine regulatory gaps and ethical issues. It suggests adaptive governance systems focusing on transparency, inclusiveness, and accountability. International cooperation will be fortified to ensure that AI-based solutions aid effectively in equitable and sustainable environmental governance.
