Abstract
Abstract
The paper considers causes of principal defects in thermal treatment of bearings and presents the results of microstructural analysis of samples taken from rejected ball bearing steel. It states the causes of the identified defects and introduces proposals aimed at reducing the incidence of defects in bearing manufacture arising during the thermal treatment.
