With the rapid development of the domestic construction industry, the demand for civil engineering talents is inc1reasing day by day, and the scale of schools for the civil engineering major is expanding. In this paper, virtual reality, computer network, multimedia, and other technologies are used to complete the construction of multiple sets of virtual simulation experimental teaching platforms and implement the mutual complementation and support of virtual simulation platforms and practical teaching bases inside and outside the school. The practice suggests that the construction of the virtual simulation experimental teaching center can effectively improve the practical teaching effect of civil engineering major and enhance the engineering quality cultivation of students.
