Abstract
Abstract
The results of the stress-strain state study of carbon fibers with applied metal coatings are presented. The Siemens NX PLM software package Parasolid module has been used for the model construction and calculations. It has been assumed that only normal Mises stresses occur in an elementary carbon fiber with a metal coating. The titanium, stainless steel and copper have been used as coating materials. The calculations have been carried out for each type of coating with a change in thickness from 50 to 200 nm. It has been found that the displacement minimum values occur for carbon fiber coated with stainless steel, and there is a decrease in the amount of displacements and stresses with an increase in the metal coating thickness.
