This paper proposes a blue LD pumping Pr:YLF crystal acousto-optic Q-switched double pulse laser with 639 nm red light output. The output principle of the Pr:YLF double pulse laser is demonstrated, and a four level differential rate equation model is established to describe the distribution of the double pulse sequence at a high repetition frequency. When the laser repetition frequency is 10 kHz, the double step signal generator, as the modulator of the acousto-optic Q-switching, turns on the Q-switching twice in one pumping period, and obtains the maximum output power of 144 mW, pulse energy of 7.1μJ and the output of visible light double pulse with the pulse interval of 20 μs.
