Abstract
Abstract
This study aimed to compare between black tea kombucha, and Arabica coffee leaves tea kombucha on immunomodulatory activity on Salmonella typhi infected mice. The trial animals were divided into two groups; the infected and the non-infected group. Each group consisted of a control group, the black tea kombucha group, and the Arabica leaves tea kombucha group. Both types of tea kombucha increase the adaptive immune response, as shown by an improvement on CD4+, CD8+, CD4+IFNƔ, CD4+TNFα, CD8+ IFNƔ, and CD8+TNFα. It was also suggested that the immunomodulatory activity of black tea kombucha was higher than that of Arabica coffee leaves tea kombucha.
