Abstract
Abstract
The basis for obtaining high and stable yields of agricultural crops is the provision of the root layer with all the elements necessary for their optimal development. The most important of which, along with nutritional, include thermal and water regimes. In the conditions of the arid zone of Northern Kazakhstan, with significant thermal resources, the relevance of natural water availability of agricultural crops comes to the fore. In the article, according to the data of meteorological stations located within the study area, the resources of heat and moisture availability of the growing season, as well as the limits of their changes over the past decades, are determined. The obtained values of heat and moisture resources were compared with the characteristics of optimal conditions. Based on the method of hydrological and climatic calculations, moisture deficiencies are calculated and recommendations are given to increase crop yields.
