Antibiotic resistance is one of the tests that Lactic Acid Bacteria must pass in order to boost their potential as probiotics. This study aims to determine the resistance of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) isolate Lactobacillus fermentum to tetracycline, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, kanamycin, and penicillin and to measure levels of resistance. The disc diffusion method was used to assess the zone of inhibition of LAB growth against antibiotics, and a quantitative descriptive method was used to analyze the results. According to the study’s findings, L. fermentum had an overall mass of 86x108 CFU/ml and was strongly resistant to the medicines penicillin, tetracycline, and chloramphenicol, with only modest resistance to amoxicillin and kanamycin.
