Although, a lot of technology developed to enhance the protected consuming water quality, water distribution system can adversely have an effect on the drinking water quality before it supplied to consumers. The aim of this study is to assess the physical and chemical parameters of drinking water quality in water distribution system at the old and new residential area in Kangar, Perlis. The water samples from tap water of old and new residential areas were collected and analysed for physical parameters (turbidity and colour) and chemical parameters (pH, free chlorine and ammoniacal nitrogen).
