Abstract
Evaluates the principal tools available for the retrieval of
information from the Internet, e.g. Hytelnet, Archie, Gopher, WAIS, and
the World Wide Web (WWW). Principally concentrates on an evaluation of
the user interface and search software for each of the aforementioned
tools. Concludes with a brief perspective of Internet information
retrieval and the implications for the future.
