Abstract
Penelitian tentang implantasi hormon Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG) dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap perkembangan pematangan akhir gonad dan pemijahan ikan Tor soro telah dilakukan di Instalasi Riset Plasma Nutfah Perikanan Budidaya Air Tawar, Cijeruk-Bogor. Perlakuan dosis hormon yang diimplantasikan adalah: 300; 400; 500 IU.Kg-1 bobot tubuh dan kontrol (tanpa hormon). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan nyata antara perlakuan pada pengamatan ke 25 dan 50 hari setelah implantasi, yaitu pemberian pelet hormon dengan kadar 500 IU.kg-1 bobot tubuh, menghasilkan perkembangan diameter oosit paling besar dengan rataan diameter oosit 3,07 ± 0,31 mm dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya, diikuti perlakuan kontrol, 300 IU.kg-1 bobot tubuh dan 400 IU.kg-1 bobot tubuh, dengan nilai rataan berturut-turut 2,11 ± 0,53 mm; 1,97 ± 0,55 mm; dan 0,87 ± 0,50 mm. Keberhasilan pemijahan pada dosis implan 500 IU. kg-1 bobot tubuh mencapai 100% dengan kisaran waktu laten antara 25 dan 27 jam dengan suhu inkubasi 22°C—24°C, serta larva normal berkembang mencapai 90,19%.Study aimed to identify the effect of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin hormone implantation on gonadal development, final maturation, and spawning of Tor soro was conducted at Research Instalation of Germ Plasm Cijeruk-Bogor. Experimental dosage of hormone treated were 300, 400, 500 IU kg-1 body weight and control (without hormonal treatment). The result showed a significant difference between each treatment observed at the 25th and 50 th day after implantation. Hormon pellet at dosage 500 IU kg-1 body weight produced the biggest oocytes with average diameter 3.07 ± 0.31 mm, and followed by control, 300 IU treatment and 400 IU treatment with average diameter were 2.11 ± 0.53 mm, 1.97 ± 0.55 mm and 0.87 ± 0.50 mm, respectively. Succesful spawning rate of Tor soro treated hormone pellet of 500 IU kg-1 body weight reached of 100% at latentcy time of 25—27 hour (incubation temperature of 22°C—24°C) and larvae developed normally of 90.19%.
