Abstract

Abstract The hydrothermal reaction of 5,5′-[(pyridine-3,5-dicarbonyl)bis(azanediyl)]diisophthalic acid (H4L) with a Co(II) salt yields the new complex: [Co3(HL)2(H2O)4] (1), which has been characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, and elemental and thermogravimetric analyses. Complex 1 exhibits a binodal (4,8)-connected 2D net structure with (420.68)(46)2 topology. The magnetic properties of 1 were also investigated.
