Abstract

Abstract Chemical and radioactive contamination of surfaces can occur in a wide variety of industrial and military applications, but they can also be the consequences of an industrial accident or terrorist attack. This paper makes a comparative study of the strippable or temporary coatings developed and used in the field of chemical and radioactive decontamination. The purpose is to classify existing decontaminant film-forming substances and to determine the optimum properties for such materials.
