Abstract

AbstractThis chapter describes a project to re-work two existing posters used in Emergency Departments across Queensland. The posters depicted how to provide a urine sample, using both text and graphics. After user testing, the Princess Alexandra Hospital worked with the QUT Design Lab to redevelop the two posters (male and female) into one that used gestural drawing (rather than graphically explicit images) and specific colours to make the urine sample collection process simpler for all consumers.
