A multi-institutional retrospective cohort study of two Southern California academic urban emergency centers that aims to characterize injuries associated with e-scooter use and clinical outcomes of those injured patients. They found similar patient demographics in those injured as Kobayashi et al. and also demonstrated that patients can be injured as nonriders and can be admitted to the hospital or the ICU due to injury severity.
