A Qualıtatıve Research On The Socıal Lıfe Of Houseless Indıvıduals: “The Case Of Turkey”

Abstract

The problem of homelessness has become a social issue seen in all societies around the world. Especially in the West, there are many projects and researches in the scientific field to solve the problem of homelessness. Studies on the phenomenon of homelessness, which has an increasing effect especially in big cities in Turkey, are limited to three provinces. Research needs to be disseminated at different disciplines level. Scientific studies should be conducted on women, men, children, youth, adults and elderly homelessness in order to understand the phenomenon of homelessness. In this research, thesis-level studies conducted in Turkey were evaluated within the scope of document analysis. As a result of the evaluations, it was understood that the main causes of homelessness are family-based relationships and economy-based problems. The limited number of studies also makes it difficult to understand the social context of homelessness. In order to prevent the problem of homelessness from becoming an increasingly social issue, homelessness studies should be expanded.
