Abstract
A computer controlled pallet leveling system allows for a partially filled mixed case pallet to be placed underneath a second upper pallet during transport. An inclinometer is used to trigger the amount of compressed air used in pneumatic chambers to achieve a properly leveled stack. A single computer system on the forklift is used during the loading process for multiple pallet leveling systems. A prototype was built and its performance was evaluated.
