Abstract
This paper is a direct extension of Part 1 [15], and presumes a complete knowledge of the previous material. Here the theory of Part 1 is used to develop the actual solutions. Formulas for several common solution forms are derived, and a general procedure for finding any solution is outlined. Example single particle solutions are given with experimental verification. The important extension of single particle theory to beds of granular material is also presented. It was found that most beds of granular material move as a slug; for these materials the single particle theory is directly applicable. Solutions for beds of granular material are given and experimental verification cited.
