Abstract
The interactor matrix of a system plays an important role in the design of model-matching adaptive controllers for multivariable systems. With the purpose of reducing a priori information necessary for such a design, this note presents a reformulation of the basic design methodology of a well known multivariable, adaptive model-matching algorithm and shows how one can estimate the nondiagonal entries of the interactor matrix from a priori knowledge of the degrees of its diagonal entries alone.
