Abstract
A model is presented for describing the nonlinear, elastic behavior of unidirectional organic matrix composites at elevated temperatures. The model describes the longitudinal and transverse tensile, longitudinal and transverse compressive, and shear stress-strain relationships, as well as the Poisson ratios. Tests were performed in the temperature range 75 to 350°F using unidirectional laminates made of Fiberite T300/976 graphite epoxy tape. The constants required in the model for this material were deduced from the data.
