Abstract
The Implementing Agreement on Ocean Energy Systems is an International Energy Agency technical collaborative programme on ocean energy that was setup in 2001 by three countries. Presently it has 12 Member-Countries it being while others are showing interest to join. In this paper the activities that were carried out during the first five-year term, the benefits obtained and the recommendations for further work are presented. This is followed by the revised mission and strategy for the 2007–2011 term and the presentation of the planned work.
